UMS and ramdisks
Hello All and thank you in advance for all your knowledge and hard work!
My question is: what is the best way to use UMS with a ramdisk?
Is it enough simply to put the file I wish to transcode in a ramdisk folder, or is there more to it?
I stream from a PC over a wired network to (mostly) a PS3.
Best wishes to you all, Gelainey

Re: UMS and ramdisks
Ramdisk for what? UMS everything does in memory, nothing transcoded is written to temp files on disk so creating RAM disk eats available RAM to UMS/Java itself and UMS can't benefit from it at all so forget on RAMdisk with UMS
