Transcoding error when streaming from a NAS Server

Post by tanaytopac »

Hi everyone,

I've a NAS Server and I'm sharing it using SMB to my Mac. And in UMS, I'm sharing this SMB share to my devices. By far, I've encountered no problems streaming .mp4 or .mkv content. However, I cannot stream anything when I'm trying to stream a .rar'ed 720p .mkv file using transcode. Here I'm attaching my debug log. If you can help I'll be appreciated.

Hi tanaytopac, sorry for the late reply, please try going to the "Transcoding Settings" tab, then the "MEncoder" section on the left, then untick "Remux videos with tsMuxeR" to see if that fixes it.

Many thanks for your reply Subjunk.

I tried changing it but nothing changed, I still cannot stream rar'ed 720p content with any transcoding option. I can stream rar'ed .avi file located in same NAS server though.

Can you please attach debug logs after disabling that "remux with tsmuxer" option?
