BUG: Audio language priority

Post by Paradox »

Under Common Transcode settings, Audio settings, Audio language priority

Those options do not work when using FFmpeg as the Video engine, only works if Mencoder is set as the Video engine.

Example to replicate the issue have a video file where the secondary sound track is English and the Primary is of another language.

Mencoder will correctly recognise "eng" as the first option in the Audio Language priority list and correctly playback the secondary audio track which is in and tagged/labelled as English.

Selecting FFmpeg as the Video engine this does not happen and will result in the primary audio track being played which is in and tagged as a language other than English.

This bug i do not think was not there is earlier versions (UMS 3.5x and earlier).

Any work around available or fix for this?

Hmm upon further investigation this only seems to affect some files and online streams such as rtmp:// TV channels. MP4 files with multi-tracks (AS long as a language is set and they are not either blank or set by number) work fine. MPG and AVI are hit and miss and Online streams suffer the worse.
