UMS v4.1.0 does not play external subtitles

Post by mindsnare »

Seems UMS 4.1.0 broke external subtitles support (srt files) for my Samsung D series TV. Same behaviour for Java 6 and Java 7 versions. No errors in the log.

Thumbnails also are no more created for any file.

Fresh installation of UMS 4.1.0 with a clean UMS folder in Application Support does not help.

Back to UMS 4.0.3 with Fix (can be found in "other releases") and all is fine again.

OS: 10.7.5 Server

I'll have a look at the differences between the two and try to get you a test build. Does 4.1.1 do the same?

Same here, no more thumbnails, tried with both MPLAYER and FFMPEG on 4.1.1.

Thank you for your work anyway!

UMS v4.1.1 (Java 6) appears to play srt files just fine, however there are no thumbnails.
UMS v4.1.1 (Java 7) behaves like v4.1.0, neither external subtitles nor thumbnails.

The External Subtitles on Samsung devices should be fixed in the next release :)
We are still working on the Thumbnail issue, not sure when it will be fixed

UMS v4.1.2 behaves like v4.1.1

Java 6 version plays srt files but shows no thumbs
Java 7 version no srt files no thumbs
