Trouble Finding Files on Yamaha RX-A840
First off all apologies if this is a simple fix. I'm not very technically savvy, but have exhausted my options in trying to fix my issue.
I have a Yamaha RX-A840 and am looking to play video files from my computers hard drive on the AV receiver. I've set up UMS on my home computer and connected it to the network, and can find the server on the AV receiver without any problems. I can find the folder I added, but when I explore that file from the receiver menu i can't find the .mp4 file? I've noticed that somehow a sub folder titled #--Transcode--# is created, but there are no relevant files in that folder either. I haven't tried using audio files or other video files which i can try tonight, but was hoping there was a quick fix that i might have overlooked.
Has anyone else experienced this issue while using a Yamaha AV receiver that can connect to your home network? Is there any other ways I should try testing this issue?

Are you sure that this receiver supports video via DLNA? At the page http://www.avcenter.cz/fotky5592/fotov/ ... 830NPB.pdf is mentioned only support for audio.
EDIT: Also is unclear how is your renderer recognized. In the UMS there are three configurations for Yamaha AV receirvers and all of them have set

Code: Select all
Video = false
