PS3, ffmpeg : subtitles inside mkv display in black border

Hello Evryone,


With ffmpeg all subtitles are in the black border of the 16:9 of the screen .. i only see the top of the letter.

I have tested with version 4.1, 4.2, 5.0a1. My subtitles are english or french with mkv.
My dlan reader is a goold old playstation 3 on a gigabitter wired network.
All option are by default.

No problems with mencoder transcoder, but transcoding is slower ....

Can you help me plz ?

Are you on an HDTV? I watch subs on a 16:9 TV and the subs show up fine for me. And I have no black borders with 16:9 shows. If I watch a 2.35:1 movie the subs are on the bottom of the picture like you'd expect.

Also on a wired Gbit network to a PS3.

Yes i have. Thx for your reply.
For me, subtitles in a 2.35 format are really miss placed
And moreover i didnt see what can i modify to have done this ...

edit : i m currently update ps3 firmware ...will see

I have reset my ps3 and nothing change

But well i prety sure i found when the problems ocurs : it s only with subtitles included inside the mkv ... no problems with external subtitles and ffmpeg.

Can you test plz ?
