No detection between server and ps3

So my problem is the server isn't detecting the ps3 and the ps3 can't detect the server. The sever however is detecting my sony bravia tv and is able to be accessed remotely by my laptop through firefox. The ps3 is detecting windows media player as a server. Suggestions?
