Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
Yes I clean install every release. When I try and play the file under the video section of the PS3 on UMS 5.0.0 I get: This content cannot be played. (800288E1)
Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
Are you playing with the Audio section or Video section? The file plays under Audio, but 24 bit needs to be played under video to get the correct bit depth and kHz, correct? It must use Audio High Fidelity and not FFmPeg Audio.
Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
Yeah I played it in the video section, and confirmed it was being played in 24-bit mode by toggling the info on the PS3
Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
Hmm ok interesting. Is there some log file I can send to find out why it's failing on my end?
Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
Yeah if you can attach logs for it using 5.0.0 I'll have a look

Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
Here you go. One thing I did just notice is that it has [Audio High Fidelity] next to the file names twice on the PS3. Not sure if that has anything to do with the problem.
Still can't upload an attachment to the forum for some reason. Here's the link to the logs:

Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
The logs are showing that FFmpeg can't find the file "DummyInput.jpg" which should be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Universal Media Server\win32\", can you confirm that file isn't there?
Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
Can confirm, that file does not exist in that dir on my computer.
When I clean install 3.3.0 there are "DummyInput.jpg" and "DummyOutput.mpeg" files in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Universal Media Server\" directory. Those files don't exist when i clean install any version after 3.3.0.
There is a "DummyInput.ass" in that root directory with 5.0.0.
Putting those jpg and mpeg files from 3.0.0 in the root dir and restarting 5.0.0 allow 24 bit files to be played!

Re: 24-bit FLAC files "This content cannot be played."
You're right, the file was removed accidentally while trying to fix another issue. I've re-added it now for the upcoming 5.0.1 release

Thanks so much!
