[Solved] Playlist does not automatically move to next video

I am running UMS on an iMac running 10.10.5
When I play videos on my Sony Bravia KDL-55HX850 at the end of the video it just stops and does not move to the next video as I would have expected.
I have installed UMS on amy brothers computer (a PC) connected to a Samsung TV and on his unit the videos just follow on from each other. I am using the same files and folder structure.
Any ideas?
Also on the PC the UMS does not work with an external HD, is that normal? Again I would have thought that was the most common way to use it.

As far as i know playlist behavior is defined by the renderer.
Do you have an "option" button on your remote control? (press it while you are in the DLNA view)
There you should be able to set the behavior.

Regarding not being able to fetch content from ext HD, make sure the HD is mounted and accessible before launching UMS

Edit: Not sure if this is as intented by the developers, but it's worth trying =)

Thank you so much for that - I now have videos playing in sequence without me having to scroll down to the next file and hitting play again.
The HD issue is still a mystery. UMS sees the files but does not want to play them from the external HD. I have copied them all onto an internal so it works fine.

Out of curiosity, is the external harddisk formatted as FAT32 or NTFS?, and how is it connected? (usb2/usb3/firewire/esata..)?

The External drive is formatted as Fat32 and connected by USB2
