General Connection Problem!!

Hi,
I've just set up a new PC.
UMS is installes properly and it shows serval recognized media renderes like my PS3, my Sony Home Theatre System on the status page. My problem is that my PS3 or my Sony Home System won't connect with the UMS. What could be the problem?

Except for the last 3 lines, the repeated "Configuration saved to: C:\ProgramData\UMS\UMS.conf" and the time stamps, everything looks normal in that log as far as I can tell. The renderers are recognized and allowed access.

I also notice that you have an old version of MediaInfo installed, which should have been upgraded during installation. I'm almost looks like you are running multiple instances of UMS at the same time. I'm wondering the following:

Did you install UMS using the installer, without having UMS running while you installed?

Have you installed UMS as a service? If you have UMS installed running as a service and then starts it as a program, you will be running it twice. If you have it installed as a service, you should use the service manager in Windows to stop and start it, and stop it before starting is as a program.

I think we need a full debug log to be able to understand anything about what is happening here, please read and follow the "Problem Reporting Guidlines".

so I just uninstalled UMS completly just too be sure only one is running. Problem still the same.

Just to make sure: You have no firewalls running on your computer? If so, try to turn it off

This new logfile confirms that you have UMS running twice. It has to be running as a service.

To open the service manager, please press Win+r and type in: services.msc. Find Universal Media Server in the list and stop it. Then start UMS normally, go to the "General configuration" tab and press "Uninstall as a Windows service". Quit UMS and restart the computer to be sure.

Once restarted, start the service manager again and confirm that "Universal Media Server" is not in the list. Then reinstall UMS 5.3.0. Then hopefully all will be well.
