Strange live subtitles bug with UMS 5.3.0
Hi there, I'm using UMS 5.3.0 with java 8 (64bit) on win7/64bit and using a PS3 as renderer.
I've made a clean install since I was coming from a pre 5.x version.
Live subs worked fine before.
The problem is that I can choose the live subtitle language I want (as configuration ita, eng, und), but when the video start no subtitle is shown.
However (and this is the strange part) If the video in question already have an external subtitle downloaded, and I go on the Live subtitles option and I choose for example a different language, then the live subtitles works just fine.
I've uploaded the log file where I play first arrow S3E01 without external subtitles and I try to watch it with live subtitles and it doesn't work.
After that I try Arrow episode S2E23 with already present (italian) external subtitles and I choose an english sub in live subtitles and it works.
Thanks in advance

Re: Strange live subtitles bug with UMS 5.3.0
I'm, still having the same issue even with the 5.3.2 snapshot of UMS posted in another topic to fix subtitles going on and off on certain files.
I've discovered that the above issue only target certain files.
For example if I try to use live subtitles with Arrow.S03E01.HDTV.x264-LOL.mp4 or The.Vampire.Diaries.S06E17.HDTV.x264-LOL.mp4 they won't work, but If I try to use them on Arrow.S04E07.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv or The.Vampire.Diaries.S07E08.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv they work just fine.
It seems like live subtitles work only with mkv/720p files. I've tried changing the priority order of ffmpeg/memcoder but nothing seem to work.

Re: Strange live subtitles bug with UMS 5.3.0
This sounds more like a bug report than a support request. You should consider creating an issue.
Since you've jumped from 4.x.x to 5.3.0 it can be a huge job to track down the regression. If you'd take the trouble of narrowing down which version that introduced this bug, it would probably speed up fixing it. If you'd install e.g 5.0.0, 5.1.0 and 5.2.0 and then narrow it down from there, it shouldn't be that many installations needed. There should be no reason to reboot or uninstall between installations, so it should be relatively quick. Just make sure you've quite UMS before installing another version

Re: Strange live subtitles bug with UMS 5.3.0
Ok thank you, I'll create a bug report. I had to go back to 4.4.0-java8 to make it work again. It stopped working with 5.0.0.
