Android TV - folder is empty

Post by berez »

Hi,

Sory for my english.

I have problem. I have Philiups Andoird TV PUH6400. I installed UniversalMediaServer and add two folders to section "shared folders".

Now on TV I see my new server, but I get information "folder is empty". I can't see any folder on TV, or any file. Why?

When I try connect to server from TV In log I see:
16:41:00 INFO Checking shared folder: F:\Movies
16:41:00 INFO Checking shared folder: F:\Movies\Matrix

This folders have a lot of movies, but my TV is saying "folder is empty"...

EDIT:
when I connect via webbrowser (like http://192.168.0.12:9001/ ) then I see all files and I can watch it.
But when I connect via WindowsMediaPlayer then I see server, but no files... Why?

To locate the problem, does it work if you disable windows firewall?

I doubt this is a firewall issue. Windows media player doesn't work with UMS. When it comes to the TV, it's probably using a wrong renderer profile. Please follow the text above in red, and we can see what happens.

Hi,

I turn off Eset Firewall and make attempt to connect. This is my debug.

I see some issues already. You have a plugin called "Jumpy" installed, but the installation failed and pythin is not installed, so it keeps throwing errors. For this debugging, remove the file "jumpy.jar" from the "plugins" folder.

I also see that the chromecast profile is used. Under "General Configuration" select "Select renderers" and make sure to disable Chromecast.

When this is done, please generate new debug files.

I did like you said. Unfortunately, the problem still exists.

The message:
10:28:43 p.m. INFO Checking shared folder: F: \ Videos
10:28:43 p.m. INFO Checking shared folder: F: \ Videos \ Man On Fire (2004)
appears in the logs at a time when I try to view the content server from the TV
