Web.conf
Web.conf
Create a dropbox or something with your video streams + music stream + image stream
Then add the rss stream to your web conf
This would be a way we can tell if certain streams will run on our renderer or need transcoding.
currently on my panny audio stream dont work.

Re: Web.conf
would this be because you want to test web connections with different media types?
otherwise,
Its a good idea is to have a Media folder of your own with several types of TEST files that you can have locally. I believe there is a media pack out there for Big Buck Bunny and file types...

Re: Web.conf
OK... because i was curious to see if it would work...
Step one, use this RSS templete (XML) file as an example. Host it... somewhere... i used Dropbox because life is easy that way.
Place that in your Public Dropbox, Copy the Public URL, Paste that URL path into the WEB.CONF file located in your C:\ProgramData\UMS\WEB.CONF not the one located in your UMS install folder. note: I added a few more links since the original post
For example my path looks like this: For the sake of testing the XML, i'm using the web interface page -- once you have validated your links in the XML then go try your device.

Re: Web.conf
I also found the MPlayerHQ site has over 14k of test videos, if you want those added to the XML use the attached XLSX file that i made to make it super easy to filter down the file types you want to add the XML.
