A_EAC3 how to play with ums?

got this mkv and the audio is A_EAC3

i have k-lite mega codecs installed

how do i play it on tv and hear audio?

still no idea how to play A_EAC3 files. it's becoming more and more common.

can ums handle A_EAC3 ?

what is the solution for use with ums if tv can;t play it ?

UMS should normally transcode the file into something your TV can play. However, the text in red above states some simple steps to take if you want anybody to look at your case.

so those formats are forced to be streamed regardles the TV.conf setting. So if you try to play MKV video with audio format not supported by your TV it doesn't work. Leave that option empty since it is recommended to use only for troubleshooting.

that sounds logical, i tried it, but the tv just doesn't want to work with ums.

so the file works on pc. but for some reason it doesn't on tv

@HT1 You need to generate new debug files after having turned off skip transcoding, so we can see what happens then.
