I don't think it harm's anything. It's easy enough to block them but i think there harmless in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, I don't think so either since they're not posting spam. I just find it amusing that it says [Bot] next to their name. Is this intentional? Do they have an assigned category on here?

Within the admin side of the phpbb software you can turn off allowing [Bot]'s into the forums. International, yes.

I thought you wrote "international" instead of "intentional" by accident. That's why I was confused.
BTW, I noticed that the site will keep logging me out after a certain point of time. Did you just set it up that way as a counter measure against spammers? It's been happening to me today and it's pretty annoying. ;(

I started running the site through Google PageSpeed today so that might be causing login problems. It might just be temporary, I can revert it if it keeps happening after a few days.

So what exactly does PageSpeed do? Automatically optimize the code for the website so pages will load faster?
