Dis-connect due to unknown TV

Post by OldMan1962 »

This problem started some versions back, don't remember which one. Am just now getting around to asking for help. UMS will, at some point, stop working with my TV, Philip 5000 Series 43" Smart 4K Ultra HDTV.
The following error will appear in log window:

Failed to send action "GetPositionInfo" to PHILIPS_Smart_TV: Error: Error reading SOAP response message. Can't transform null or non-string/zero-length body of: (IncomingActionResponseMessage) 200 OK (HTTP response was: 500 Internal Server Error)

Am I right in assuming, the Philip config. file picked by UMS during startup is unable to work with my TV. Can you create a config. file for my TV, I can place in the render folder to correct the problem, I don't want to mess with any of the files and make matters worse and add the file in future versions.
If am wrong and the problem is cause by something else, what can I do to correct the problem.

Everytime i try to attach the log and the spec file, the site tell me, it too large. So I placed the log and the TV specs in a Google share folder.

The link: -Removed-

UMS was doing a library scan when you made that log so it ended up being over 100MB in size, which is far too much to go though.
Also it shows your full media library which you may not want shared  you might want to delete that and I'll remove the link from your post.

Could you redo the logs making sure that there is no scanning in progress.
It should only need to do this once to build the database but if it still scanning on startup, disable the "Scan shared folders on startup" box in the Shared content tab then restart UMS and recreate the logs.

Sorry about the link. Uploaded did not sent the email to send the attachment through their website. Also, did not relies all of the scanning was included. Remember next time.

Here is the log and a pdf of the TV in question.
Thank you for your help.

UMS isn't matching any config for your TV, but there is already one there for Philips PFL

I have altered the UpnpDetailsSearch so that it should match all models in the PFL series and not just the one it was created for.
In theory all models in a series should have the same supported formats, but there may be some differences so you will have to do the testing yourself.

Copy the conf to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Universal Media Server\renderers\" and hopefully it should work. If it does the the change can be included in future versions.
