update not working on Mojave

update not working on Mojave
Had working version of 9.8.1 on macOs running mojave10.14.6.
Got update to 9.8.2 pre 10.15 version.
On trying to open get error “Universal Media Server.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.
on trying to reinstall 9.8.1 from new download same error.
Have done complete uninstall with CleanmyMac and then tried again same issue.
Restart no help.
so now what was a working UMS no longer functions at all.

This isn't a problem with UMS, it's Apple blocking applications without "their" signature.
