tray icon
tray icon
Hi
Minor change
It would be great to have some option on the tray icon.
for example , "hide tray icon" , or change look of the tray icon (color /transparency...) to fit the desktop style
Thanks
look like this on my desktop:

Re: tray icon
It looks like we should update our icon to work with whatever operating system that is. It is usually transparent. What OS are you on?

Re: tray icon
Hi. I'm using UMS 10.19.0 (but trayproblem was always) on Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS with Mate Desktop and experiencing a weak looking trayicon without transparency, also too big.
But my Panel isn't that high....so it's understandable that the tray might be too high for it. Another Trayicon is also too big. Screen attached
I think cause there is no smaller Icon provided.
The tray has no transparency, is too big and is appearing in the wrong Notification Applet.
I'm using the Indicator Applet (https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-in ... r/po/de.po)
And all the other App-Trays, as you can see in the screen, appear in the right Applet.
Between the Clock/Weather and the mate-indicator-applet from the Link, which shows some apps with nice transparent Icons, is another Notification Applet. Sadly I only know the German Title "Benachrichtigungsfeld" which means "Notification-Field".
And this Field looks pretty weak. So it would be awesome if this appears in the right Notification Area like all others (seems to be a default for apps) and with transparency.
That would be nice. But if not I don't care cuz I love UMS

Re: tray icon
I completely agree! It would be great to have more customization options for the tray icon, including the ability to hide it. I think that would be a really useful addition.

For the aesthetic side, I agree with the post, just to make it a little suited to my taste but as long as it function as it does, it it good too.
