I thought it would pass though the audio with ARC, someone else had a similar setup and could do it but I think it was a Samsung TV.
I don't have a soundbar myself so I don't exactly know how to set one up. I'm assuming there is a specific HDMI port to use for ARC or maybe some settings to enable pass-though.

That'd be my expectation too. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow DTS pass-through in any way. It's definitely the case for ARC, and I think also for optical out.

I do not own an LG TV but just drop my hypothesis: the issue might be your wifi connection.
At least, what UMS has calculated at one moment.
Try to remove that limit by setting "automatic_maximum_bitrate = false" in UMS.conf file and see if the video is still transcoding.

@SubJunk - thanks let me know, I can help with testing if necessary as well on LG C1.

@rhayy - thanks for idea, it's not helping I have:
maximum_bitrate =0
automatic_maximum_bitrate =false
