Re: Error in log
I tried. No special chars at all.
I also tried to close UMS, created a new txt file and added the content to it with Windows Editor (and afterwars withNotepad++), renamed it and restarted UMS but it still shows the same problem

I copied UMS.cred to UMS.vf and pasted your stuff into it and I got no problems.MasterPhW wrote:I tried. No special chars at all.

I added my vf file (it's zipped since the forum only accepts zip files) try it.

Still the same problem with 2.6.0 (and yes, I changed the ums.conf to point to your new file)...
It now gets really confusing.

Re: Error in log
Upgrade to 2.6 and then upload a new log. Since 2.6 the vfolder conf file will be included in the zip file.

Re: Error in log
Than I seem to have a very crazy version of 2.6, because it isn't included nor does the file menu show a checkbox to include it:SharkHunter wrote:Upgrade to 2.6 and then upload a new log. Since 2.6 the vfolder conf file will be included in the zip file.

But I just added it myself to the archive (file date 28.03.2013) and uplaoded it here.

Re: Error in log
The vfolder conf in UMS.conf should start with a @ sign. Otherwise it will not work...

Re: Error in log
It finally works.
But the config still is kinda confusing:
You need a @ before the name. It has to be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Universal Media Server" (instead of all the other config files which has to be in "C:\ProgramData\UMS") and you can't seem to change it, only its name.
And the virtual folders don't replace the shared files, so you need to have an additional folder shared to don't have all folders shared. And I still don't seem to understand the "virtual_folders =" entrie in the conf.
But it finally works. That is the most important part.
Thanks for all the help.

Re: Error in log
Yes it is confusing why it should have an @ sign is outside my knowledge but thats how it is right now...
