No content found on my Samsung TV
Hi all
I have updated ums from v.9 to the newest one and since then my Samsung TV shows no content found. The model is QE65Q95TATXZG.
What can I do that the files of my PC (Win11) are shown again?
Many thanks for your support

Re: No content found on my Samsung TV
Try this:
1. Stop UMS
2. Delete this entire folder: C:\ProgramData\UMS\database
3. Restart UMS
Is there any reason why you have this in UMS.conf
renderer_force_default =true
instead of
renderer_force_default =

Re: No content found on my Samsung TV
Hi Boss
Thank you for your reply.
I've done the steps in your suggestion, unfortunaley the error still exists.
No, there is no reason for the param renderer_force_default=true. I don't know why this is set.
Should I change it?
Edit:
I just looked at ums.conf. The code is already changed: (not by me)
# Force default renderer (disable automatic detection)
# ----------------------------------------------------
# By default UMS tries to automatically detect what renderers try to connect
# to it. When this is true, UMS will assume any renderer that connects is the
# default renderer.
# Default: false

Re: No content found on my Samsung TV
Did you look at the UMS.conf in:
C:\ProgramData\UMS\
There is another one in the program folder which is not used.

Re: No content found on my Samsung TV
Also, you have a lot of external links in your C:\ProgramData\UMS\SHARED.conf file.
Perhaps copy "SHARED.conf" to "SHARED.conf.bak" and edit "SHARED.conf" so it just has one local media folders.
Like:
[
{
"file": "F:\\Users\\Kommandozentrale\\Downloads\\Filme",
"monitored": true,
"metadata": true,
"active": true,
"type": "Folder"
}
]
Just to make sure something in "SHARED.conf" is not causing a problem.
Remember to stop UMS before the changes and start UMS again after the changes are made.
Also, have you tried it with your web browser. This might isolate if the problem if on the renderer side of things or not.

Re: No content found on my Samsung TV
I have done this steps.
Unfortunately it is not solving the issue.
BUT... I tried on my other TV's (LG and another Samsung QE65Q70TATXZG ) and on this it is working fine.
It looks like the problem ist only on the one TV in the first post. But why?

Re: No content found on my Samsung TV
So you have 2 TV's (Samsung) exact same model and it is working on 1 but not on the other?
Just noticed the models are slightly different,

Re: No content found on my Samsung TV
So you can see the folders but the folders do not show any content?
Re: No content found on my Samsung TV
I noticed this in your logs:
Received a browse request from [TV] Samsung Q90 Series (65) [Unknown renderer]
Empty response sent to [TV] Samsung Q90 Series (65) [Unknown renderer]
It could be that the TV is not picking up a renderer configuration file.
I am not sure which conf file that TV should use.
It would be either: Samsung-9series.conf or Samsung-Q9.conf
More likely Samsung-Q9.conf I think.
You could edit the file: Samsung-Q9.conf
and change:
UserAgentSearch = Samsung Q9
UpnpDetailsSearch = QE\d{2}Q9
To
UserAgentSearch = Samsung Q9|Samsung Q90
UpnpDetailsSearch = QE\d{2}Q9|Samsung Q90
That may possibly do some good.
If not, @mik_s will have a look at the log file and see if he can pick what the issue is.
