Live subtitles
Hi,
I am very excited about this new feature but I wonder if I can have some more details on it.
I am Italian and I watch movie in english with english subtitles, therefore I activated it and I set as in attachment
Subtitles priority: en,it
audio-sub priority: *,eng;*,und;
However the folder is always empty...
Does this mean it can't find subtitles? I had a look at ums.conf but there are no info about engines or addresses...
Is there anything more I can find about it?
Thanks!
Sergio

Re: Live subtitles
Yes most likely it doesn't find any matching subs.
I 'm not 100% sure but I think that OpenSubtiltes (which the subs are fetched from) uses the ISO639-2 standard for language codes. In plain English this means 3 letter codes instead of 2. So en should be eng and it should be ita etc.
Note to self make UMS translate between 2 and 3 codes like I do in Channels.
Otherwise upload the logs...

Re: Live subtitles
Changed the language code as you suggested and now it works perfectly! I had en,it from a previous install of PMS.
This is a major step forward, finding and downloading and renaming subtitles is a pain in the ass sometimes but with this is almost close to perfection!
Thanks again!

Re: Live subtitles
From the next release UMS will convert the lang codes to ISO639-2 internally no matter of what you entered. But as a workaround use the 3 letter version.
If you don't know what code to use look here:
