Customizing the Web Interface easily - v14
Greetings all, me again ...
Here in v14, still no support for "User interface customization" to wit :
Some simple upgrades ...
1) being able to have the Browser Tab reflect the ACTUAL name of the Server as designated in the "General Settings" of the Server ...
2) being able to have the VERTICLE divider line either "movable" in the browser, or AUTO size based on longest title to include the necessary buffer for #3 below, or set it at a wider width in the CSS, the factory settings are way too short for many Titles. When it was set to "300px" I need it to be "500px", now it is a calculation based on the viewport width - which is cool, but still much too narrow to accommodate many longer Titles, now the factory setting in the CSS is 18.5em, and I need to set it at 33em, for two different columns also - end of one, "the List" and start of the other, "content from selected directory" . CSS is the "Set once and forget, easy, works for everyone" option, but AUTO Width would be Awesome. This also would negate the need for the NOW visible "horizontal scrollbar".
3) Could you please make the vertical slider/scrollbar wider also, currently is 18px, would really like to see it at 25px or 30px, would make it easier to grab with many web interfaces in Smart-TV's.
4) Add about 10px buffer to the Bottom of the scrollable "List", as currently there is a negative 1-2px space between the scrollbar and the last title in the list.
These are few, and incredibly simple "UI" fixes which would elevate the User Experience by leaps & bounds, imho.
I would just do them myself but the 64 page non-delimited CSS file won't open in any text editor I have ...
I've included some pics showing where these items can be addressed every single time I open the UMS server ...

Subjunk recently asked for ideas on improving the web interface for V15 here so I could link this post too.
I think some of the things have recently been added like the server name and something about the vertical bar but can't remember what exactly.
I have a some ideas on a few things too that I'll add when I get time.

Logs are important for us to help, Please follow This Link before asking for support. Just a forum cleaner, Will help if I can but no expert.
