thumbnails dosnt work / jupnp warnings / Could not parse device descriptor
Hi duds
in advance I'm from germany and my english still out school days so I hope you will understand me... to complete my profile, I am just a user
After update on version 14.11, befor that I used the version 14.6, I get permanently warnings like:
- "Could not parse device descriptor"
- "Could not parse device DOM"
- "Could not hydrate device or its services from descriptor"
- "Can't parse device type string"
--> you See in the Log
I can watch videos like normal but the LG TV Oled 77C17LB (client: 192.168.178.8) no longer displays thumbnails / preview
I have already tried the following, “clear install” of multiple versions back to 14.8 without success.
Only from version 14.6 onwards do warnings no longer appear and the thumbnails are displayed again.
I have also installed version 14.11 on another computer on which no UMS was previously installed.
These errors also appeared there and the thumbnails did not work
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or does it mean I'm out with version 14.6?
THX

Re: thumbnails dosnt work / jupnp warnings / Could not parse device descriptor
Those warnings can be ignored. There was a change to another networking library that logs much more than the old one.
These will not be logged in the next release.
Those are coming from 192.168.178.8 so it may be related to the thumbnail problem as this is the TV they do not show on, otherwise it should be working and I can see the thumbnails are being sent.
I know there were recent changes to prevent the thumbnails triggering a played event as the TV can create animated thumbnails itself.
Maybe it did not not work well in this version but I think was fixed in the next but not sure.

Thank you for your reply!
That means I can't do anything else for this time only waiting for the new version.
