ACK!! WHAT HAVE I DONE!! PLEASE APPLE PEOPLE, READ AND HELP!

So i was content using UMS 2.4.0 (i think 2.4.2 would have worked as well, but like i said i was content heh) as i have a Raspberry PI and Raspbmc running on the big screen and i actually DO have a version of "XAF's Custom XBMC" that i use to stream to my ASUS TF300T (using a little app called SMBWrapper and an external player, (either BSPlayer Free or MX Player) This is kinda cool this guy wrote this little "middle man" app for XBMC that takes requests for SMB shared files and it turns them into HTTTP:// links and then gives the HTTP:// link to the external player... so as long as there are no spaces in any of the file names it works great... Go Android!! But today i pulled a huge "OOOOPS!" bc i was updating my macbook and i thought i had it UNCHECKED but i accidentally updated my Java to Apple Java update 16 and now my UMS 2.4.0 won't work anymore... i need to revert to Apple's Java bc now i have Apple's Java 1.6.0_51 and it has rendered UMS completely worthless to me.!! NOOOO!! I don't need Java to be updated on my MAC i need to revert BACK to update 14 or whatever i was on before i think it was 15 but whatever..... i have a time machine (well a drive i use as a TM not like the time capsule thing)and i am pretty sure from all the forums ive been reading that i need to put in "JavaForMacOSX10.6.Update14.dmg" to get my UMS 2.4.0 working on my macbook..... can anyone help?? I dl'd Pacifist but i am at a loss of what to do here. I know that i was skipping that Java Update for the longest time because this macbook cant handle Lion/Mt Lion and also it was nice to have a mobile media server... just tether a 500GB USB Drive to it and it was movies wherever i go.... so if someone can help link me to JavaForMacOSX10.6.Update14.dmg or help me revert my java back to 1.6.0_43 (i think that was the ver UMS called it when it booted up) then i can be back in business. I even ran a backup moments before it applied the Java updated.... ARG!!

If anyone has some advice i'd love to hear it.... gonna go knock my head against a wall for a bit then maybe catch a nap. ARG!! and of course it was ME who forgot to uncheck the java update so i cant blame anyone else here. this blows LOL i cant believe i just did that well it could be a ton worse but does anyone know how to revert to previous versions of Java in OSX? Is it as easy as finding JavaForMacOSX10.6.Update14.dmg ?? if so, does anyone have that file?? Or a link??

Hi, I'm not sure what i can do to help you. Have to tried to google the way to restore java6 for 10.6?
OS-X 10.6 is being supported less and less right now but i will attempt to find a solution to help if i can

I agree with Optimus, I have yet to meet an active OSX dev here. :/

An option if your game for it is to run Parallels with the Windows UMS build on it.

The java update was released in that security update package. Whilst i'm not really a OS-X Dev, i'm the closest one we have around here. I build all the releases for OS-X including ones for java 7 when i have time.

i wrote for so long i got logged out welp im not re writing that all over.... illl try again some day soon i got that file u linked me to its a dmg inside theres a pkg but "WHAT'S IN THE BOX??"

will it revert my java bc thats what i need

unless yer taking on custom requests-- like can u make me my own personal version? hehe id like it in black with chrome rims yesyes?? and airbrushed flames on the doors please. lol. life was easier when java was a young man

i can barely see im so tired i dun wanna get timed out again.... heh....
