Congrats team! Good recognition of a project being regularly improved and in touch with the users community.

From https://sourceforge.net/blog/march-2014-potm/ :

Code: Select all

SF: What is the next big thing for Universal Media Server?
SJ: We have been working hard on a web interface, which will allow us to support devices even without DLNA support.
Does that mean leveraging HTML5 video tags or some JS based player?
Wolf.
-- UMS serving PS3, WDTV, Samsung H6400 + J5500 and Kalemsoft renderers! (no video transcoding but remuxing accepted :D )

HTML5 has issues with mp4 transcoding. But JS based flash is working at least. There are some issues left with thumb generation times. You could try it yourself if you can't wait :)

I voted. And told all my friends that I converted from PMS > UMS to vote as well. ;)

And what about Android/iPhone support to remotely control UMS?
