@SubJunk
The test file you linked to played fine.
It played without streaming. So that means 10-BIT MKV files with aac audio are supported by my LG TV's.
It is only the 10-BIT MKV files with ac3 audio which are not supported by the TV's.

I have placed one of the 10-BIT MKV files with ac3 audio on one of my servers here (609MB):

@Subjunk
It looks like you are correct about 10-BIT not being the problem with the MKV files.
I have just come accross more MKV files which are doing the same thing and are 8-BIT.

The MKV file I first posted about are AC3 10-BIT with Mode extension : CM (complete main)
The new MKV probelmatic files AAC 8-BIT with nothing about Mode extension.

Attached is a zip file with the mediainfo from:
First problematic file I posted about (Deadwood)
New problematic file (The X Files)

PS. After posting, I tried another MKV file from The X Files. This file plays fine without going into the "Transcode" folder.
The output from mediainfo looks exactly the same as The X Files output in the Zip file which does not play without going into the transcode folder.
Strange,
I have added the mediainfo output for this one in text format.
