i got a few questions.

Have you ever modified your HOSTS file? (if not then disregard)

Did you ever let Java completely close out ? if the port is still in use from the existing Java then this error shows.

Do you have any firewalling on your router?

Not at all, like I said it just happened after I left and came back.

Yes i have edited my host file, but only after this error occurred.

ok what happens when you revert your Hosts file to default?

I don't see how the hosts file would effect it. I did say that it worked at a friends house.
It obviously has to do with my network but have absolutely no clue what it could be. I haven't ever changed anything about it until this started happening and i have put everything back to the way it was before anyway.

Your Hosts file if improperly configured.. and cause a network issue.

for example....

say you always want home.you.org to be pointed back to 127.0.0.1 you would make your host file entry to be like:

127.0.0.1 Home.you.org

But say if you didnt use 127.0.0.1 but used somthign liek 192.168.0.2, and your network card is set to DHCP... well in about 8 hour or the next reboot you coudl get a differnt IP...

so your entry in the HOst file is:

192.168.0.2 home.you.org

when ever you type in home.you.org its oging to fail because your staticly settign that route while your network card is not staticly set.


this is just one example...


what modifications did you do to your HOSTS file?

I blocked a program from accessing the internet.
Like I said before though, it works fine at my friends house and i changed something in the hosts file after this problem occurred.
