Hello,
I have tried several versions down to v. 4.0.0 plus 3.00 and 2.1.2, but none did work! The only version that did was the one without the fixes (buttons) (first 5.0.0 java 8).

I uninstalled it when the fixed version came out (setup file is deleted). But, on the other hand, the buttons for shared folders preferences, did not work then...

Ok then it must be something to do with your OS-X as all other versions of UMS haven't had any issues with the downloads, and no-one else is reporting having issues opening the .dmg's. Not sure what to do about your particular issue Tomix, let me test 10.10.1 myself and i'll try and get back with some kind of solution.

Hello!
Opening the .dmg-files works, but then opening the (extracted) UMS doesn't. I have tried the (very similar) PS3 Media Server, and it worked fine. So if this problem remains I would switch back to this one then.
Do you think there could be a problem with the java? And by the way, I have upgraded to OS X 10.10.2 in the meantime.

That did the trick!!! Thanks a lot! (I have tried to allow opening only for UMS, but that was not working!)
