UPnP is enabled, don't see a setting for DLNA

The pattern of behaviour was as follows:
- For years, PS3MS was flawless
~3 months ago, it would connect fine, but on any transcode operation it would stall out ~50mb in, and I would have to reboot PS3MS - which would then work fine for the next while
~1 month ago, it would stall out on any file, regardless of transcode or just a basic copy - a PS3MS restart would make it work again for the next while
~1 week ago, no connection on PS3MS, so in troubleshooting, found it's been replaced by UMS, but no resolution, and everything written above is where it stands today.

Then it seems problem outside DLNA servers. You can try different ones like Twonky or Serviio if they works. If yes, problem is in UMS/PMS but if not, problem is with network, your PC (firewall, drivers, antivir) or PS3 itself.

Like I've said a few times, I can connect thru Twonky (external NAS - but have no transfer files there), and Vuze (which is a direct connection to my PC). So I can connect PS3 to PC - just not thru UMS. I'm resigned to the fact that I'm stuck doing memory stick swaps (fortunately I have a keystone plate behind my head that makes it pretty convenient - but still, not as convenient as two button clicks)

I have exchanged your post with tcgl01 user sorry.
It seems also it is not fw problem as other renderers are detected (FW rule must be done to javaw.exe process and not UMS.exe but this is not problem here)
Send "pathping PS3_IP" output from cmd.
Also try to use UPnP Inspector if it detects PS3: http://coherence-project.org/download/U ... -setup.exe
It is weird that in log there is no communication with PS3 IP {192.x.x.70} but there is communication with other renderers so it seems not UMS "network" problem.

UPnP finds nothing, but I may have screwed up and set it as Private network instead of Public... Nut sure how to reset that :(

Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center and try to change it in active networks (not all or any can be changed)
Anyway you can disable firewall for all types of network like PUBLIC, PRIVATE etc...
Anyway you can test UPnP Inspector on same PC where UMS is installed. In this case you should see UMS. If everything works ok on your PC you should also see other renderers in network.
Unfortunately UPnP inspector doesn't like environment with more network interfaces (virtual or physical). Sometimes it listens on wrong interface(IP) but repeated restart of APP should fix it (or disabling interface which inspector listens on). Check "View\Show global log" in Inspector if M-Search is sent to correct IP. If not, restart it until it will sit on right IP.
Hope it helps to troubleshoot your problem more.

I had the same problem. i've seem to fixed it by first of all update my router firmware. and B check the ps3's network name, if the ps3 got a <space> in the name change it to underscore. as soon as I did that UMS detected the ps3.
