Then the problem isn't the same. The log file you provided is of no use, I need a trace log. If UMS doesn't start at all, you have to change the log level from DEBUG to TRACE in UMS.conf manually before starting UMS.

With trace option enabled, the logfile looks nearly the same.

Not much happening there no, it's not supposed to look like this. Is UMS hanging or is it closing (Check task manager for javaw.exe)? Do you have it installed as a service (run services.msc and look for "Universal Media Server")?

Try to delete this file if it exists:

When I start the progrom, nothing happens, no Window or task bar icon appears.

I installed 6.0 with the clean install option, and removed and reinstalled Java with javaRa, without any effect.

I understand that nothing visible is happening, but that doesn't mean that nothing is happening. Have you checked if you have a process called javaw.exe in task manager after trying launch UMS? Also, have you checked for a service named Universal Media Server, and have you tried to delete the UMS.cred file?

No process is running and the service isn´t installed.
I deleted the ums.cred and started ums again, nothing happened but a new ums.cred appeared. The logfile looks the same like before.

UMS 4.4.0 works fine.

EDIT: After reinstallation UMS will start for one time. After closing it, there is no way to start again.

EDIT 2: I fall back to 4.4.0, this is the latest version which works for me.

This is just a wild guess, but it sounds like you might have the same issue as this. You can download and test a fixed version here.

I installed the new version (clean install) and it works witout any problems.
