you're welcome i think its hard to work for everyone since there are a lots of modems and routers with different configurations and also the Windows, macs and lynux and also different versions of java must be really tricky to make this miracle even if all ps4 are with the same media player 2.00 and 3.55 firmware installed there is Always going to be someone here and there that will still have the disconnection problem. im glad that i could help somehow and i hope his problem will be solved.

I seem to be having similar issues. Have installed Java 8.112 b01 JRE and 6.4.1 Snapshot. Have also uninstalled media player and deleted the save file and it seems to keep happening. Media player appears to lose connection and universal media server is no longer listed until Media player is closed and opened again. Running over wireless and have also attached logs. Hopefully this is related and can be of some help.

hi the ps4 tends to be unstable on wireless even with wifi n i 've tested myself i'm using the same java and the same version of the ums and its fine for me the only difference is that my ps4 is wired connected directly to a modem/router thats also works as wifi. this also solves the nat problem that plagued the console especially on parties and the ps4 if not configured correctly to your network can also cause this problems with the media player and the ums.

Hey guys, so I dont know if anyone is still having this issue. But I just got this program two days ago and it was happening to me.So after a little bit of investigating(and reinstalling) I noticed that it really only started happening after I removed a folder from being shared. A couple of minutes after removing one, I would get kicked out. So I reset the program and was looking at the logs as it kept happening and I noticed every time it happened it was attempting to look at a previously played video from the folder that was removed. Hit reset cache on the "Navigation/Shared Settings" tab, reloaded the server and it hasnt happened since. Hope this helps someone else. If it does let me know
