update to Panasonic.conf
Re: update to Panasonic.conf
attached is the log of me playing the same RMVB file using my Pioneer Kuro tv and it has no issues at all. So I don't think it is a UMS problem but a conf problem?

Re: update to Panasonic.conf
I have one Plasma 3D and one LCD non-3D Viera TVs and both supports DivX. SubJunk has PanTV and also his one supports DivX. Trust me.
You are the first one who complains about AVI (DivX/XviD) files that they are not natively supported.

Re: update to Panasonic.conf
Only visible difference for me is that Kuro doesn't use bandwidth limiting and AspectRatio fix:zzricezz wrote:attached is the log of me playing the same RMVB file using my Pioneer Kuro tv and it has no issues at all. So I don't think it is a UMS problem but a conf problem?
Code: Select all
MaxVideoBitrateMbps=90
CustomMencoderOptions=-vf softskip,expand=::::1:16\/9:4
First try to change 90 to 0 and then add # before "CustomMencoderOptions=..." so it will be commented.
Don't forget, every change needs restart.
Re: update to Panasonic.conf
didnt work. I even tried copying all the setting from the kuro conf but still problem. looks like more of a Panasonic hardware issue now? which is odd cause there no problem transcoding divx.
Re: update to Panasonic.conf
Does it work if you put the attached file (unzipped) into win32/codecs?ExSport wrote:About the RMVB ask SubJunk. It seems there is no good support for this format and maybe "ffmpeg_MPGMUX.exe" is outdated.
Now I see this remuxer is not used for RM files???? I found MEncoder was used only and generated some errors:SubJunk?DEBUG 2013-01-24 18:04:35.515 [Thread-20] MEncoder SB49 (C) 2000-2012 MPlayer Team

Don't have the error message anymore but the video and audio still out of sync
could it be the error in bold?

Re: update to Panasonic.conf
Nope that's a normal message. It's probably just that the file format is so rare, I doubt the MEncoder developers even test it.
Re: update to Panasonic.conf
sigh rmvb is a very popular format for asian media.SubJunk wrote:Nope that's a normal message. It's probably just that the file format is so rare, I doubt the MEncoder developers even test it.
Re: update to Panasonic.conf
I might be wrong but in my experience rmvb files are usually provided on forums whereas mkv (better format) are in torrents and fansub blogs. Usually when I see rmvb files they are a very low filesize alternative for people who want say an 80mb file instead of the 200mb MKV
Re: update to Panasonic.conf

I have a very large collection of files in all formats and I had been playing with the panasonic.conf file, now I have very much every format streaming to a TC-P65ST50 Smart viera Panasonic.
Most files are natively supported by the TV set so no encoding is needed for JPEG, SD-Video, AVCHD, MP4, AVI, MKV, FLV, 3GPP, PS, TS, MPEG1, MPEG2, MP3, HE-AAC, and AC3 file
So, a bunch of things just commented out # in the .conf file, I have FFmpeg as first engine in the list for transcoding
Two issues remain with the file, when a video file audio portion is encoded to mpeg the playback has a delay of around 1.5 to 2 seconds. (it seems a lot of renderers have the same issue, however, using another media server I do have this issue
The DLNA client in the DLNA tv screen, also displays the resume files as part of the file list, so if you play partially 2 or 3 files, it creates 2 or 3 resume files in the list.
my .conf file is attached, a bit messy , very much all video formats play
