I have read your log file.
There is a java error in the start of the log about permissions to a temp folder, but I don't think it is related to your issue (but you might want to check it out).
I have compared your previous log with this one. It seems that your router is setup to use DHCP and usually this is a good thing (works for your other devices) and should not give any problems.
Now for the Xbox and the combination with UMS it might be a problem. This is all related to UPNP renderer detection by UMS and the actual DNLA streaming initiated by the client application (Xbox).
For both protocols to work properly, from both sides the IP addresses involved should resolve in the correct and same IP addresses.
And based on the ping in the log actually not responding we can try to get that resolved.

So these are my thoughts:
Lets's leave the configuration of UMS as is; your server is using DHCP to get it's IP address.
Let's configure a static IP for the Xbox. (you can find some info here: http://portforward.com/networking/staticip-xbox360.htm. Never mind the portforwarding story in there...)
Important is that your static address should NOT have a value in the range that is used for DHCP, so you want to check in your router what that range is.
The next thing you might consider is clearing the cache on your xbox; I have read somewhere that it might affect things :? .
Then on your xbox do the network test (Xbox<->PC) and media sharing configuration once again and let's see if we are getting somewhere.
Oh and don't forget to save and post adebug.log

OK but setting a static IP addresses will that make any problems with the Samsung TV or the PS3

No it should not create a problem, because we will not touch the these way devices get their IP address; that will still be provided by DHCP via your router.

Not a fan of setting Everything to DHCP...

I hope this helps.

When building your network at home its good to statically set a lot of your devices and leave DHCP set for some devices... like WiFi devices.

Its easier if you make this in Excel...

My Network consists of:
(1) Main router and (2) routers that are set to being only switches -- That range i set aside to be 172.10.1.1 - 172.10.1.5 (leaves me two spots available if i need ot add an extra AP at any time)

Server and other Static Hardware
1 Main server that has dual nics - that scope is 172.10.1.6 - 172.10.1.10 (im using both 172.10.1.9 and .10; .9 being my ipv6 traffic and .10 being my ipv4 traffic)
1 PS3 - 172.10.1.5
1 XBOX 360 - 172.10.1.6
Directv Boxes; (5) boxes in total 172.10.1.90 -.95 (DECA box uses .90)
and 3 Wireless cameras on 172.10.2.1, .2, and .3

DHCP scope
This one fluxuates but its set to 172.10.1.20 - .60 (when the family is over there is alot of mobile devices that jump on the wifi)

On my server i'm also running DNS. (this helps a lot because now i can control what DNS i'm hitting first, rather than relying on my ISP...)
so EVERYWHERE except for the Main router, which my DNS there is always 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 (google Public DNS) i have all devices point back to 172.10.1.10 for DNS.
the Subnet is 255.255.0.0 (allowing for visibilty to the 3 wireless cameras)

its good to do this when it comes time for troubleshooting... really...

Now when it comes to UMS configuration, in your Main router, you should port FWD whatever port your using to stream UMS out back to it...

Now as far as the XBOX.conf file the reason why you have the "nope" sign on all the MP3's could be that the XBOX360.conf file is configured incorrectly.

Hi DeFlanko, good to see you trying to help us out here.
As far as the conf file of the Xbox is concerned, I believe this was developed based upon the xbox capability specs and tested as it is actually part of the UMS distribution.
And as no other Xbox user is complaning of not being able to stream mp3 files it is very unlikely that we have an issue on this part.
What I do see is that we have some unexpected behaviour on what the Xbox shows and can or cannot play.
My thoughts right now are that it could have something to do with the how IP addresses are being setup, hence the DHCP story in the last posts...
Oh and let's not forget Xbox is a Microsoft product so you get the Microsoft quirks for free with it, because I'm not so sure about their implementation of UPNP and DLNA.
They intentionally developed the streaming functionality with only Windows Media Player as the premium streaming server in mind.
But if you have an Xbox that you can use for testing, please do so; it will help us...

i was doing that link you gave me & i run into a problem:
You may also have to specify the DNS servers your Xbox 360 will be using. This is usually required when your network's router is not passing the DNS server information to the computers that have static IP address properly. First you need to find out what DNS servers your Xbox 360 should be set to. The easiest way to do this is to give your ISP a call. They will probably ask you why you need them. Tell them the truth, your Xbox 360 is requesting them. They should give you two IP addresses, one for the primary DNS server and one for the secondary DNS server. Once again get back to the Configure Network screen of your Xbox 360 as shown below.
Highlight the DNS Settings area, and then push the A button.
i think i found the Primary but i Can't find the Secondary one & Comcast will not provide it to me unless i pay. So what do i do now

You can do what DeFlanko has done in his setup.
-make sure your Xbox is setup to access your router as gateway
-for DNS servers use the Google DNS servers IPs 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 (this is actually what I do myself as well in my network setup); so no need to use the DNS of your service provider (although that should work as well)

I did everything on that link & put them address in as both DNS server address & now what do I do next & still no music is showing up & some times it shows an Xbox Live error code: 8007274c & I did find a way to scan all the files in the music folder I hit in the Navigation/Share Settings in the Virtual folders I checked the box that says Enable the cache & it scanned the folders for the music but still nothing showed up
