Cant play MP4 on Oppo player

Hi everyone! I have been using UMS fine (new user since a switch to an Imac) and I cannnot play MP4 files on my oppo player through DLNA. The same files play from a HDD in the player´s USB and also play if I select some transcoding in the oppo . I am sure the player can play this file, can anyone help me choose other settings for the server? I am sure I have to change some setting only since all the other files work perfectly! And I used to play these files on the player through DLNA using my old server.

Can you check which renderer file you are using in your setup?
For Oppo there seem to be two available in the UMS ddistribution:
- OPPOBDP83.conf (this one only supports mp4 via transcoding)
- OPPOBDP93.conf (this one supports mp4 natively)

I think my UMS is detecting the 93 because in the status windows it shows as "oppo BDP 93". If I need to change a file in the config folder I can do it but it seems to detect my renderer fine

Assuming that UMS detects your renderer as oppo BDP 93, it should have played mp4 with no problem.
Just to be sure, you should post your debug.log.
I'm pretty sure that the experts can tell you what's going on (as I'm no expert myself, but I might take a shot at it).
Also check out if other users of oppo in the forum have posted similar problems.

I bave checked the forum but did not find this issue, though someone at avforums says that he had this issue (who also said happened with pms). I have just noticed a dead pixel on my 4 day old mac, so I will exchange it today, reinstall it, and comment after this (and post the debug file if it happens again).

well, reinstalled everything....same thing! the debug file says that the file was opened by the player but when trying to open them at the player, it displays "This format is not supported by the player"
Another small bug is that the FLAC files appear together with a MPEG file with the same name...
