Sony BR player, no FF or RW
This appears to be a fairly common problem, and I didn't see any responses in my perusal of the topic.
Are fast-forward and rewind supported with UMS? Pretty inconvenient if not.

1. your debug.log is empty (log generated after UMS restart where every restart clears old one)
2. your debug.log is in DEBUG mode/level and not in TRACE level
Generally FF/RW should work for streamed videos. When transcoding is used it depends on your CPU and network (wifi/cable) if FF/RW will be usable or not (it lags more or less with transcoding).
Remuxing is between direct streaming and transcoding. It works for me on PS3 and PanTV without problems on 1GB LAN (PanTV is 100Mbit only)
