Slow to start play from RAR

When I stream from unpacked movies it starts most instantly. But if I choose a RAR archived movie it takes about 1-2 minutes for it to start. Anyone else got this?
Wild media sercer starts RAR play instantly to so I guess its not a limitation of the format right?
