Hi all, this is my first time using UMS, i switched from Serviio becou it had some issues.
I have a problem getting my external subtitles to show on my TV. i am connecetd wirelessly to my Lg La1630 model.
UMS detecs my TV, i can play videos, but no subtitles are showing, i tried all the available renderers in clicking all the option on the subtitle menu.. but they just won't show.
Here is my debug log.
Hope somebody can give me some advice.
Thank you

For the first test please try to set as a default renderer the LG BP550 and try to play any video with subtitles. The LG LA6200 conf is made in the old structure and prevents to send or transcode subtitles and should be updated.

I think this could have to do with it:
Code: Select all
TRACE 2017-09-16 14:12:13.694 [HTTPv2 Request Worker 11] net.pms.encoders.Player Matched external subtitles track that did not match language preferences: id: 101, type: SUBRIP, lang: cs, externalFile: E:\TV\Game.of.Thrones.S07E05.720p.HDTV.x264-AVS.srt, external file character set: WINDOWS-1250
TRACE 2017-09-16 14:12:13.694 [HTTPv2 Request Worker 11] net.pms.dlna.DLNAResource This video has external subtitles that should be transcoded
TRACE 2017-09-16 14:12:13.694 [HTTPv2 Request Worker 11] net.pms.dlna.DLNAResource Final verdict: "Game.of.Thrones.S07E05.720p.HDTV.x264-AVS.mkv" will be streamed since it is forced by configuration
This is caused by LG-LA6200 conf. Please post new debug files while using LG BP550.

You're still using the LG-LA6200 configuration.
In the GUI, on the "General" tab on the second to last line you have two options (quasi labels as I don't have them in front of me): "Default player when.." and "Force default player". Select the LG BP550 in the "Default player.." selection and select "Force default player". Then restart UMS and try again. If it still doesn't work, please post new debug files.
If it does work, you can configure the renderer in a better way (without forcing), but we'll have to get back to that then.

@valib is the one that knows subtitles well, so I'd wish that he would repond about that.
If UMS suddenly can't be found by your TV, it sounds like you have some network issues. If that's the case, no DLNA server will work without issues, they are all using the same protocol that requires a working network. When a renderer can't see UMS at all, it "always" comes down to either network errors or firewalls blocking the signals.
If you want us to look at what's happening when your TV can't see UMS (can UMS still see the TV?), you have to post debug files from when this problem occurs.
