PS3 Videofiles and Subtitles

Hello all,
this is my first post, but first things first: I love the Universal Media Player, great work and thanks to the development team.
Here is my problem:
Whenever I have subtitles (SRT files) in the same directory as the videofile (it does not matter if it is MKV, AVI, MP4 etc...) and I want to stream the video to my PS3 (most actual firmware) the videofile will not be loaded (datatype is not supported error on the PS3). When I delete the SRT file, the video will load fine...
Sorry for not providing more detailed information, but I am currently not at home.
