Hi,
I have used UMS for many years until recently I've had a year out, on setting my system back up and downloading the latest version of USM the program simply wont stay open for any longer than 10 seconds!... its driving me nuts, I've uninstalled and reinstalled USM and the latest Java and still it wont work... Any suggestions please...

Make sure you have "folders" properly configured in UMS.conf. Latest version starts with scanning the media files. May be try with folder with few files. Also follow the guidelines above in red if you continue to face issues.
