Panasonic GT30 VIERA

What UMS settings do you recommend for my TV Panasonic GT30 TX-P50GT30Y?
(Both the TV and the Win10 PC are connected via gigabit ethernet to a router.)

I don't get errors but playback experience varies.

About 75% of movies work fine. The rest is quite bad - often it works when playing from the start but as soon as you pause, or skip minutes forward, when resuming it says "wait" for half a minute and finally resumes, only to have the sound way out of sync with the video.

When watching the same movies on my phone or pad, everything works fine, so the TV seems to be extra sensitive.

I assume that the TV handles some codecs better than others. Meaning, if I understand UMS correctly, that the transcoding is not optimized for the specifics that my TV requires.. I think?

I tried changing default renderer to "Panasonic GT50" but it didn't help.

Any hints, please?

I started a problem movie.
It ran for some seconds and everything was good.
I hit PAUSE, waited some seconds, hit PAUSE again to resume.
The TV said "WAIT" for a while, then finally resumed but
the audio was several seconds out of sync compared to the video.

It happens every time with this and other movies. Others work fine.

I don't think there's a problem with your post - there's simply not a lot of activity by the developers here these days, and this seems like a case for them.

The issue seems related to subtitles.

Thank you BTW. It's sad but hey..

Maybe there's a way to solve it without UMS?
