Option "Show iTunes Library" does not work

Hi,
I checked the option "Show iTunes Library" to access my iTunes library instead of plain folders, but it does not show up in the shared folders list on the DLNA client (iPad).
Even the log does not show anything related to "iTunes".
- How does the program know where my iTunes library is located if there is no option in the software to specify the location?
- How do I get it to work?
Thanks
Ebbi

Hi Ebbi,
Please follow the link in my signature to give us the info we need to fix this for you

I already did that before my posting, but there are problems.
1. The default log level "debug" does not contain useful information
2. The log level "trace" just provides a few additional lines
3. The log level "trace" is not saved to provide more information during a restart of the whole program, so I'm not able to reproduce the error.
4. I don't see your signature.

5. Here are the logs after program start -> set to "trace" -> restart server:

Thanks

Hi Ebbi, by my signature I mean the text below my post that says "How to ask for support". It links to
these instructions which should provide me with the information I need.

Ebbi, you can directly upload the ZIP file to the forum so this way we can examine all conf's and configs being used at the time of a TRACE log file instance of UMS.

Alright, here we go.
The problem is between these two options:
- Choose "Trace" from the "Log Level" dropdown at the bottom
- Reproduce the bug
Since the iTunes Library is not loaded during startup, I need to restart UMS to reproduce the bug.
But the trace level is not saved when restarting UMS.
So I repeat my simply question from the start question:
How does the program know where my iTunes library is located if there is no option in the software to specify the location?

In your case, the step of "reproducing the bug" means going into the server to verify that iTunes isn't displayed as an option

If that action is done, then we can see the cause of the bug.

iTunes uses the same location to store its library on Windows by default. If you're using a non-default location for the iTunes profile directory then that's probably why it isn't working.

Alright, then there is no need to search for a bug, rather it is a feature request.
Mine is at F:\iTunes instead of C:\Users\ebbi\Music\iTunes
My OS is on an SSD and I don't want to waste valuable space on it.
When will it be possible to specify an individual path for the location of the iTunes library?

I just threw something together real quick, a new config option "itunes_library_path". You can set it in UMS.conf which by default is in C:\ProgramData\UMS
Here it is. Please test and if it doesn't work please provide debug info

Is not better to abandon internal itunes support and use plugin?

Seems it is more robust than "lighweight" version built in UMS/PMS.
