I had look on google for specs on your TV and it doesn't support DTS, which would make sense you would get the error message "could not play audio".
UMS is correctly identifying that and is transcoding the file to MPEGTS-H264-AC3, however looks like it has no support for Dolby at all so AC3 won't work either.

I have modified the config to remove AC3 as supported and transcoding to MPEGTS-H264-AAC instead, hopefully that will work for you
Samsung-UHD-2019-mod.conf
(9.06 KiB) Downloaded 390 times
I have given it a higher priority so this config should be used instead of the included one, Just copy it to the renderers directory in UMS (C:\Program Files (x86)\Universal Media Server\renderers).

"color out of space" has AAC audio which matches as supported so it is streamed

And i thought i could do nothing wrong with buying a Samsung TV.
It is strange that it isn't supported. My 2013 Samsung does. Maybe that model is on the lower end and to save costs they never bought the licences to use Dolby

That should happen with UMS too, just need to get the config right. If you manage to get it working then the config can be updated for the next version of UMS.

At least at the moment UMS is correctly detecting what to transcode, just not exactly to what your TV can understand. @Nadahar knows more about the transcoding side of things. If I remember there are several options to keep AC3 and DTS tracks in the transcoding settings. make sure anything that mentions them are disabled and see if that helps

There's no way to transcode to multichannel AAC in UMS as far as I know. When it comes to some manufacturers dropping DTS etc, it's all down to licensing. Dolby and DTS (and others) are quite greedy and requires hefty license fees for devices to be able to decode "their" codecs. As a consequence, it seems like support for these are going to be less and less. They might have upped their licensing fees for all I know, or maybe the manufacturers just don't think that many of their customers need this. It wouldn't hurt if they informed about it though...
