Hello

I have a macbook connected in wifi with an old version of UMS and it is ok : UMS sees the network and all the UPNP devices and both of my TV can see UMS.

I have an Imac connected i ethernet and I wanted to install the UMS so I have DL the 9.5 but it is not seen and it cant see with the error : ERROR Unable to bind to 1900, which means that UMS will not automatically appear on your renderer! This usually means that another program occupies the port.

Can you help me please ?

Thx

C.

Unable to bind to port 1900 is a very "suspect" error, since that should be impossible. The reason is that UMS use three ports by default, 5001, 9001 and 1900. 5001 and 9001 are used for unicast and is "reserved" for one application at the time, and will experience "bind failures" if another application is already using it. 1900 however is used for multicast, and isn't reserved. It is a "shared resource" that any number of applications can bind to at once, it should never result in a bind failure.

As a consequence, I suspect that you're dealing with some kind of "security feature" in your OS, anti-virus software or similar, that simply prevents UMS from binding to port 1900. It should not be possible.

I have no idea what TvMOBILI is, so that might be. It should be easy to test though, just make sure the software isn't running before starting UMS.
