MEncoder works, FFmpeg does not (Samsung UE40ES6565)

I have been trying to get this transcoding thing to work for a while. At first, I coudn't get anything to play. Now I have partial success after setting "ChunkedTransfer=True" in SamsungAllshare.conf - MEencoder works.
But in MEencoder I cannot use forward/rewind - it does only stream directly from the beginning of the file to the end with no navigation possibilities. FFMPEG does not work - I get a message: "Filetype not supported at the moment" (translated from Norwegian) on my TV.

I use Ubuntu Linux 12.04. My TV is Samsung UE40ES6565.

I uploaded two attachments - one where I use OpenJDK 6, and one where I used Oracle Java 7 (also tried OpenJDK7 without success).

The attached log shows whap happens when I:
1. first play the file with MEencoder successfully for a few seconds, then stop it.
2. and try to play with FFMPEG, unsuccessfully. I get a message on my TV from the Samsung Allshare app:, "File type is not supported at the moment" (translated from Norwegian), then I stop and the log file ends.

Anybody bother to read the attachments and see what can be wrong?

Dunno if this matters, but I managed to get transcoding working with PLEX. Is there a way I can use information from the Plex transcoding-config files to get UMS working? This is on a Plex web app on my samsung smart-tv tho, so I suspect this somehow circumvents the cold hard fact that Samsung Allshare sucks spiky goat-shitballs, tho. The subtitle support in Plex sucks tho, and it lacks support for RAR archives, so I still want to get UMS working.
