Mavericks 10.9.1 and nothing is working anymore!

Hello guys! A few days back I upgraded my Mac from Mavericks 10.9 to Mavericks 10.9.1. After this upgrade, UMS is not working anymore! I'm saying that is the new Mavericks release because the day before I used UMS with no problems. And the only change I did was Mavericks latest version.

My Mac is connected via WiFi to a Netgear modem/router and the PS3 is connected via ethernet to the Netgear modem/router. The problem is that the PS3 can see my folders and files (with previews) without problems, but when I launch a file, nothing happens. The screen remains black, some buffering appears in UMS, some internet usage, then stop and back to PS3 menu. The same thing happens also with other apps like UMS, as Beamer. So I really think it's the new Mavericks version.

Things I've already tried:
- restarting the Mac
- restarting the modem/router
- downloading via WiFi a big file to test internet speed via WiFi: no problems, speedy as usual
- connecting the Mac via ethernet to the modem/router: perfect streaming of the video files

So, based on all these tests I did, the problem seems to be WiFi Home Network in Mavericks 10.9.1: maybe Apple has changed something?

Hello Cirials,

Try a clean install for UMS by deleting the UMS folder in your Application Support folder.
(HD/Users/'user name'/Library/Application Support).
With this done UMS will be forced to initialize from scratch.
This means when you have certain specific settings that works or you , try to save them by using screenshots so you can put hem back after the fresh install.

This worked for me on Mavericks and using UMS Java7.

Hello, it seems that is my WiFi in troubles, not UMS I made various tests and it's not a UMS problem. Sorry about that!
