Is there a way to disable the MusicBrainz lookup feature? I have a lot or remixes that I have tagged myself, and whenever I load from the VLC player I see the music tagged incorrectly. I can only assume that UMS is overwriting the tags with music it deems similar.

We don't change your files when we find information from MusicBrainz (or ever), we only store that information in your UMS database on your machine. VLC wouldn't read it.
You can disable our integration by changing "Audio thumbnails import" to "None" on the Navigation Settings tab though.

Ok thanks, I see where I goofed when writing, what I meant is I want to disable all internet lookups so that it only uses the tags I set, things like artist, thumbnails, albums.

Ah I see, yeah I think that setting I mentioned "Audio thumbnails import" will do that. Please let us know if that doesn't work
