FLV, MKV & DTS won't play sound since 10.14.0

Files that were playing without any issues now don't work after UMS 10.12.0. Each time a new version is installed, FLV, some MKV and videos with DTS sound track will play without sound. When I downgrade to UMS 10.12.0 everything works without changing any settings. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? 10.12.0 is very slow compared to the latest version, the speed boost in 10.12.0 would create an ideal media server.
