Slow fetching on Sony Bravia
I just downloaded the lastest UMS, im new to this and was wondering if there is certain hardware I need to run as pulling the media from the server on my new Sony Bravia tv is super slow.
UMS is on an old laptop
Media files are on hard drives in a usb dock connected to that laptop
Laptop and tv connected to the network with an ethernet cable
When i click media server on my tv it takes like 2 minutes to see the folder then another like 2-5 to find the files. Any ideas on how i can make the movie files appear instantly on my Sony Bravia?
As a side note, i have another computer networked to the laptop with UMS and that computer can see the movies and play them instantly.

There may be something wrong with your installation of UMS if it is taking that long. Only way to be sure is to see logs, see the section in red above.
Logs are important for us to help, Please follow This Link before asking for support. Just a forum cleaner, Will help if I can but no expert.
