How do I stream to DirecTV?

Hello,

I am new with UMS. I switched from PMS because I found out that UMS can stream to DirecTV.

My problem is that my movies will not play on DirecTV. When I select a movie and play it, the screen goes gray with the movie title at the top and goes right back to my movies in DirecTV Media Share a few seconds later. I can't get anything to play.

I have searched and searched but cannot find a solution to get my movies to stream.

What can I do to get my movies to stream to DirecTV?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I forgot to add that using Windows Media Streaming, my movies show a X next to them but using UMS, there's a camera icon next to them.

Thank you in advance.

two things... try to find my Thread i made the DirecTV conf on... it explains alot there...

2ndly -- i didn't realize it until after it started working... but even though you're streaming a video in Mediashare it'll still time out after 5 mins... so really Streaming to Directv is a horrible idea until Directv fixes its MediaShare BEta program.

Hopefully you guys can help me out. I'm trying to setup my computer so I can stream movies to my tv. I've already downloaded the latest ums, java, and vlc. Ums is running on the computer and I can detect my movies in directv. The problem is getting the movies to play. When I select the files with the movie icon next to them, only a black screen appears. No audio or video. Is there anything additional that I have to do or setup in ums in order to get the movies to play?
